| This was a gallery near our hotel. It was showing a collection of the political cartoons from an artist which were published in a Syrian newspaper. Americans, Israelis, Palestinians and Arabs were all targets of his humor. The artist was present at the gallery, we talked with him for a while and he explained some of the pictures. Just when we were leaving he presented us with a signed hardback book containing the collection. We couldn't believe how generous he was. |
