Middle East   |   April/May, 2008 Kai and I spent four weeks in the Middle East during the spring of 2008. We toured around Egypt for about two weeks to see the Pyramids of Giza, some tombs of long-dead pharaohs, the oasis of Siwa and the beaches of the Red Sea. We then caught a ferry to spend a few days in Jordan to see Petra, and then drove up to Syria to tour around for a week. There were lots of sand and Roman ruins everywhere.		Thailand   |   December, 2008 Kai and I spent Christmas in Thailand. Mostly in Bangkok, but we also went to Loei and Hua Hin to visit Kai's family and friends.
Cuba   |   December, 2006 Kai and I spent two weeks in Cuba during the winter of 2006. We started off in Veradero sitting on a beach for Christmas. Then took a bus to Trinidad, a lovely colonial town with cobblestone streets. Next we took another bus for about 12 hours to get down to Santiago de Cuba where we spent New Year's eve. Finally we flew back to Havana for a couple of days before departing.		Mexico City   |   January, 2007 On our way back from Cuba we stopped over in Mexico City to visit some friends.
India   |   December, 2005 Kai and I went on a tour around India for one month during the winter of 2005. We landed in Delhi and first visited Agra to see the Taj Mahal and then Varanasi to see the Ganges. Next we travelled west to the desert of Rajasthan. Here we saw Jodhpur, Jaipur and Udaipur, and celebrated Christmas in Jaisalmer. Finally we headed south to relax on the beaches of Goa for new year's eve and the canals of Kerala before returning to Delhi for a couple of days.		Hong Kong & Macau   |   December, 2005 On our way to India we stopped over in Hong Kong for a few nights. While we were there we also went on a day trip to Macau.
